Friends:

I am looking for information on conducting a low income CDCU needs analysis.
I have NFCDCU's Organizing Manual (version 1.1)but I am not seeing good
materials for the needs analysis. (No offense, NFCDCU.) I have found
market analysis stuff but I want to know what people have done to determine
that low income people in a given area need a CDCU. Did you do surveys?
And if so, can you share any copies? Focus groups? How were they
structured? And what questions were asked?

Also, what if your market analysis indicates need but your survey of the
target population does not? (I am trying to weigh the idea that many low
income people may need financial services which could be provided by a CDCU
but may not be educated as to the services or may not even understand how to
use a lending institution.)
