Hello all:
I thought some of you might be interested in this UK conference, which
emerged out of growing interest outside the U.S. in the Community
Reinvestment Act -- that is, the use of public policy to discipline capital
markets to be more responsive to community financial needs, particularly in
disinvested communities and populations.
There may be papers available -- I'll repost the information when I
receive it.

seminar, "Community Reinvestment Finance in the next Millennium" on 24th
February, 1999, 17:45 pm for 18:00 start at the Parish Hall, 266 George
Street, Glasgow, Scotland.
The event is sponsored by the Bank of Scotland and supported by the City of
Glasgow and the Glasgow Development Agency.
This seminar is particularly relevent to the recent discussions on the CRA
and is an opportunity to discuss issues around Community Finance in depth.
