Appraisals

I figure there may be some rural community development lenders in this room.
I manage a revolving loan fund that provides seed money for rural housing
and I often get involved in site development deals. I'm looking for a
resource or some sort of how to guide for obtaining an site appraiser's
services and knowing what a good appraisal looks like. Obviously, you look
to make sure your questions are answered, but I'm looking for say, the
textbook to fall back on.

Generally we use an appraiser accepted by the institution lending the funds
for a purchase or rehabilitation....
