I'm working on gathering information for a non-profit in DC charged with the
task of openning DC's first community development bank! Two questions came up
the other day . Does anyone out there in CDFI land know anything about (1)
Individual development accounts ( I think a program was started in
Indianapolis)? (2) And where can I find information on the "Community
Development Investment Aliance?" Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

An organization you may be thinking of instead of the Investment Alliance is
the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance, based in Duluth, MN., 700
Lonsdale Bldg., Duluth, MN 55802. Phone is 218-722-0861. Their mission is
working with community development organizations making equity investments
in small businesses. They recently had a meeting in New York. They are a
small organization and I don't think that they have staff yet.
