Ian, the Aspen Institute Rural Program hosted a series of meetings a year or
so ago to gather folks who were involved in statewide microlending programs.
The project was directed by Eugene Severens who coordinates the Nebraska
Microenterprise Partnership Fund.

Contact Gene directly to learn more about the participants and results of the
meetings. Email: eseverens@aol.com; snail mail: RR1, Box 34, Rosalie, NE
68055. Tel: 402-863-2577.

My organization is preparing a report from the project and I will announce its
publication on this listserv.

Tim,

Thanks for the information regarding the statewide microlending meetings
hosted by the Aspen Institute. I will attempt to contact Eugene Severens
directly. I would also be interested in seeing your report on the project
when its available.

**************
If anyone else on this COMMUNITYDEVELOPMENTBANKING list attended these
meetings or other similar ones please let me know. What was discussed is
probably exactly the type of information we need to learn about here in
Hawaii. We are looking for examples of how a statewide program might help
local microenterprise organizations through training, funding, etc.

Also, many thanks to all those who have responded to my posting on
"Microenterprise in Hawaii" thus far.
