The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation seeks information about programs
that provide mortgage loans to assist persons with disabilities to build
homes with built-in accessibility features, or to acquire and rehab homes
with such features designed in. We are particularly interested in learning
how lenders have dealt with the issues of excess loan-to-value ratios,
increased portion of household income dedicated to housing costs, problems
with accessible units not appraising well when compared to other units,
lack of accessible comparables, etc. We re talking here about reaching
disabled persons with moderate incomes and employment, as well as some
lower-income households with a disabled person. We are also interested in
obtaining some model designs for adaptable, accessible housing.

Thanks!
