for cross-postings with the FDIC list.

Please join NCIF and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
for a Forum on:

Using Federal Tax Credit and Savings Programs

to Build Employee Benefits

When: Monday, September 27, 2004

Continental breakfast will be served from 8:00 -
8:30 am.

The forum will begin promptly at 8:30 and go until 11:30am.

Where: The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago

230 S. LaSalle Street in Chicago.

Please bring picture ID to the registration table in the lobby.

What: The FDIC - NCIF Partnership identifies best practices
for bringing unbanked and underbanked employees into the financial
mainstream (see reverse side). Methods range from encouraging employees
to use direct deposit to encouraging them to take advantage of Federal
tax credits and Savings programs that can greatly enhance their annual
compensation and contribute to financial stability.

The September 27, 3004 Forum will give you the opportunity to learn
latest practices in how to leverage employer and banking relationships
to introduce asset-building tax credit and savings programs through the
workplace. Our speakers will cover topics from 529 savings plans, to
linking tax credits to homeownership, to "advanced" Earned Income Tax
Credit (EITC) through the workplace.

Employers: Find out about innovative and inexpensive ways to
increase benefits you can provide to your workforce and meet bankers
interested in workplace based financial services.

Financial

Institutions: Find out how you can partner with your commercial
clients or other employers in your service area to expand services for
the unbanked or underbanked using Federal and State structures that
promote savings and enhance credit readiness.

Speakers include:

Margaret Clancy, Washington University in St. Louis, national expert on
529 savings plans.

John Nevitt, Metro United Way, linking homeownership and savings to
EITC.

Cathe Dykstra, Center for Women and Families, linking homeownership and
savings to EITC.

Lynn Mitchell, Corporate Voices for Working Families, "advanced" EITC.
