As list manager, I have received three requests this week relating to the
list policy when posting job anouncements or job listings on our mailing
list. I appreciate that these list members are showing consideration in
asking first.

My sentiment is to allow the posting of job information as long as the
organization and positions are related to the community development banking
theme of the list.

The danger here is, of course, that the list could get filled with "Make
money fast" type posts. We're somewhat protected against "spamming"
because the list software redirects all non-member posts to me. I can then
post only relevant messages to the list, "by hand".

So, unless I hear otherwise, I encourage members to post CD Banking related
job information.

Bill:

The policy on job listings sounds good. But there's some pressing business
we haven't attended to: the CDFI bill itself and its imminent demise. Can we
use the list to publicize some of the NFCDCU alerts? I suspect that list
members arelikely to get faxes, E-mail etc. to the relevant congressmen.
I'll help however I can.

I would be very interested, as I do not get that information via any other
means of communication; and I would like to support.
