2002 EDFS ANNUAL LOAN FUND TRAINING INSTITUTE
OCTOBER 17-22, ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA
Invest in your business development loan fund by registering today for the Economic Development Finance Service (EDFS) 2002 EDFS Annual Loan Fund Training Institute. Whether you're an experienced loan fund professional or a new staff or board member, this conference has something for everyone.* It will be held in historic Old Town, Alexandria, VA (a suburb just south of Washington, DC) October 17-22.
Four pre-conference courses are scheduled:
--Loan Fund Organization and Administration (Oct. 17-19)
--Credit Analysis and Deal Structuring (Oct. 17-20 -- half day on 20th)
--Loan Fund Asset Management (Oct. 17-18)
--Loan Fund Marketing (Oct. 19)
The Annual Training Conference will be held Oct. 21-22 and features four tracks:
--Loan Fund Management (Inheriting a Problem Loan Fund, Problem Loan Review Committees, Staffing, Loan Accounting Procedures)
--Funding Sources (Federal Program Trends, Federal Program Introduction, Alternative Sources of Loan Fund Capital)
--Problem Loans (Solving Unsolvable Loan Problems, Collections and Late Payment Procedures, Restructuring Problem Loans)
--Supporting Entrepreneurs in Your Region (Adding Entrepreneurship to Your Economic Development Strategy, Facilitating Access to Markets for Your Borrowers, Creating Business Networks)
We'll be at a hotel adjacent to the Metro, which can take you into Washington, DC in a few minutes, and the hotel is also part of the Alexandria central business district, which has plenty of restaurants and shops. Three airports (BWI, Dulles, and National) serve the region.
