Real Estate Development Financing

List Colleagues:

I am working for a community based organizations interested in obtaining
Real Estate financing for commerical and residential developments. In
an attempt to evaluate the best practise used to finance real estate
development. Our community based group is seeking to build knowledge and
gain guidance for starting to developed our community we have estimated
that about 300 milllion is needed for commerical and residential
development.

We lack a funding strategy, do not know what instrument are available to
fund these projects. Technical assistance in the area of municipal,
private, government and bank financing ie construction bridge loans,
line of credit extended to organizations government revenue bonds or
other funding source is needed. Identification of best practices by
others already doing development. What other types of debt financing
can be secured by CBOs? Possible methodologist to follow?

Would you be able to supply research direction and possibly suggest who
we could talk with to assist us in our efforts. Your help is
appreciated.
