Hello.
After funding a home equity loan or line, we mail the signed & notarized collateral mortgage to a third party vendor, who then forwards it to the appropriate* courthouse.* Several instances over the past few years have occurred in which the vendor or the courthouse loses the mortgage and our lien is never recorded.* Both always deny any wrong doing or involvement.*
What can I do to avoid this problem or correct it?
