Minority business development survey

Dear Community Bank list serv members,

Our research center recently received a grant from the U.S. Department
of Commerce Economic Development Agency to examine African-American
business development. We are doing a survey of minority business
development agencies to find out what services and programs are
available to African-American businesses.

Our goal is to develop a comprehensive database of minority business
programs in the U.S. largest fifty metropolitan areas that provide
services to the African-American business population. We will use the
survey results to develop a typology of business programs.

We are particularly interested in your insights on strategies that
nurture and develop African-American businesses. The survey results
will lead to a monograph publication on best practice minority business
development programs.
