There is a significant need for Community Development Financial
Institutions (CDFIs) to conduct straight through processing of both the
loan and investor components of the community development loan business
within one integrated platform. With the inclusion of the Community
Development Loan component Compass GS represents a powerful operations
platform for CDFI's and further extends its capabilities as an overall
operations solution for charitable organizations.

IVestServe, Inc. Announces Contract To Develop New Community Development
Loan Component for its Compass GS Software
IVestServe, Inc. (www.ivestserve.com) of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
announces a new contract with Calvert Social Investment Foundation
(www.calvertfoundation.org) to develop a community development loan
processing component for its Compass GS software platform.
IVestServe, Inc. is a unique new entry in the emerging industry of
Web-enabled delivery of outsourced services, or eProcessing. IVestServe
specializes in providing the nonprofit charitable giving and asset
management industries with comprehensive administration and distribution
services at low cost via the Internet.
Calvert Social Investment Foundation is a nonprofit corporation (Bethesda,
MD) with total funds under management or available for charitable purposes
of $38 million as of December 31, 2000. The Foundation is a 501c(3)
organization dedicated to the mission of promoting the consideration of
social factors in the investment process and encouraging the flow of
investment resources to disadvantaged communities. Calvert Social
Investment Foundation is a separate legal entity from Calvert Group, Ltd.,
best known as the nation's largest family of socially responsible mutual funds.
The Foundation already uses IVestServe's real-time, web-based operations
platform COMPASS GS for the administration and operation of the
Foundation's donor fund product and related services. Calvert Foundation
offers a range of donor products, allowing individuals and institutions to
channel capital in support of community development through their philanthropy.
In addition to providing donor fund products, Calvert Foundation is an
authorized Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). As one of
over 400 CDFIs in the United States, Calvert Foundation provides finances
to non-profits working in disadvantaged communities throughout the
country. Calvert Foundation raises investment capital from the general
public through the sale of its Calvert Community Investment Note.
Shari Berenbach, Executive Director of the Calvert Social Investment
Foundation, explains, "We are pleased that IVestServe is taking on the
development of the loan and investor software component. There is
tremendous industry need for integrated software, which can process both
the loan and investor sides of the community development loan
business. IVestServe's Compass GS system already handles a variety of
charitable investment instruments and the Foundation's asset management
function, so it makes sense to add the loan component."
IVestServe's President, Ian Scott-Dunne, adds, "We were pleased to provide
the Calvert Foundation with an integrated operations platform for their new
donor fund service. With the development of the new community development
loan component, the Foundation will have the benefit of one fully
integrated software platform to automate all of its community investment
business. "
