Opportunties in Community Development?

I was just recently added to this list. Community banking seems like a
rewarding and exciting field to get into. I was wondering however, what
opportunities areavailable for those interested. I will be graduating with a
BA in economicsin June and was hoping somebody could give me insight into
how difficultbreaking into the comminty banking industry would be coming
straight out of college. Mostly is it something I could pursue now or a
field that requires a
great deal of experience. Please share any experience and/or thoughts on the
subject. Also any references where I could learn more about community banks
themselves would be a great help.
