KEN CYNAR - COMMUNITY INVESTMENT NETWORK EXECUTIVE EDITOR HONORED

December 2008 -- Ken Cynar, executive editor of Community Investment Network was honored recently by his alma mater, Hofstra University.  Ken received the prestigious “George M. Estabrook Award” for alums in recognition of their distinguished service to the community and the university.

The award recognized Ken’s public service career accomplishments (he served in senior level posts in Nassau County, New York government, and in the Township of Hempstead posts, including extensive work in community and economic development before his career at the Governance & Accountability Institute).

Ken joins fellow alum who over the years have received the Estabrook Award – Congressmen Jim Grover and Norman Lent; New York Times sports writer George Vecsey; author Nelson DeMille; NY State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli; former chairman of NASDAQ, Frank Zarb; movie director Francis Ford Coppola; and singer Lainie Kazan.  Well done, Ken – from your team at Governance & Accountability Institute.
